———->>>>>>  One cannot pierce my heart with any arrow as it is filled with pure bliss and compassion, plus my dreams. I’ve been dreaming dreams like forever. I am now taking charge of my life and pursuing these insurmountable dreams. No mountain high enough that I cannot climb, it might be too steep, I might get delayed, weakened and discouraged, but the courage and the fire will always be with me -burning to keep me going. Husband and Wife argued while walking when they passed an area with on-going construction and with a Caution Sign. The husband paused and suddenly asked the wife in Tagalog, their native language.

Husband: Honey, ano ang ibig sabihin ng CAUTION, SLIPPERY WHEN WET ? And bakit kelangan exclamation mark yung drawing?    

(Trans:Honey, what does the Caution, slippery when wet meant? And why there is an exclamation mark in the post?)

Wife:  It’s the same as mag-ingat kasi madulas lalo kapag may basa sa daan. ParehongCAUTION yan- yung exclamation mark, and yung CAUTION.

(Trans: It’s the same as to ‘take care’ , floor is wet so people might slip or meet an accident. Exclamation mark and caution are the same.)

Husband: [not convinced by the wife’s explanation] Pinahihirap naman nila buhay ng tao, mas madali kaya maintindihan kung simpleng mga salita lang ginagamit. Bakit hindi nalang sana – TAKE CARE, FLOOR IS WET!  

(Trans:They are just making people’s lives difficult. It’s more easy to understand if they use simple words. Why can’t they use ‘take care, floor is wet’?)

Wife: Instead of getting mad, she laughed at her husband’s remark. 

Come to think of it, he had a point. It doesn’t sound good, but he made sense. Simple english, for simple people, or for everyone else. Life is easy this way.
